Dear Deanna Hunt,
I am responding to your ad for the Supervisor/Sales Associate/Barista positions that are advertised through Teavana.com. My education and work experience is very diverse and I have an ambition to succeed to my highest potential. These qualities would make me a great fit in Teavana.
I have been working towards my Associate of Science degree in Medical Assisting at Keiser University where I obtained several certifications as well as learned how to work in an organized fashion in a fast paced environment. Through the course, I learned a great deal of information about alternative medication and how powerful tea can be in promoting healing and staying healthy. I became fascinated with the benefits of tea and I have written research essays on the powerful antioxidants found in tea. I also took Culinary Operations in high school where I obtained my Safe Staff certification and learned how to work efficiently and safely in the food industry. I feel with my diversity, interest in other’s health and well-being, and knowledge of tea makes me an ideal candidate for the advertised positions.
I spent a few weeks interning for Doctor Pedro Monsserate, M.D. at Kagan and Jugan Associates as a Medical Assistant. I worked with patients making them feel comfortable and assisting the doctor in Cortisone injections, suture removals, and basic examinations. I also work in the office filing paperwork for insurance, pre-op, and updating patient charts. Prior to my internship position, I worked at Walmart as a cashier where I learned customer service skills and how to work with all types of people. I also worked at Dunkin Donuts where had the opportunity to make sandwiches and beverages from lattes to tea. I really enjoyed working with frequent customers and always made sure I went the extra mile to make them feel welcomed and cared for.
Thank you for your time and consideration for the advertised positions. I look forward to hearing from you soon. I can be contacted through phone (123-456-7890) or email (myemail@yahoo.com).
Sincerely,
Joshua D. Winn
That sounds great! I would add a thing. You didn’t add anything about the actual company. I can tell that you don’t have a generic cover letter, which is great, but if you add a sentence or two DIRECTLY tying yourself somehow to the company, it might help. For example.
Company A provides X, Y, Z, which allows customers D, E, F.
My qualifications, experience and my career goals directly fit into Company A’s goals, specifically:
Also, be more confident in your cover letter. Instead of writing "I feel with my diversity", write "my diversity, interest…."
Did you know that drinking coffee in moderation may prolong your life?
Lead researcher of the National Cancer Institute,Neal Freedman says "there are positive benefits of drinking coffee in moderation",he says coffee contains potent antioxidants, but due to coffee being made with hot water, the potency diminishes slightly but is still there.
Yeah, I think that’s pretty cool, because I love coffee and drink it about everyday! :0
Does tea offer the same health benefits as water?
According to studies, drinking tea is extremely healthy due to the amount of antioxidants it provides as well as other currently irrelevant reasons. Studies also say that drinking water is important in adding mass, trimming fat, etc. Will drinking tea include the same benefits that drinking water does in addition to the antioxidants?
Tea hydrates as well as water. Its diuretic properties are largely due to its liquid content, not caffeine.
"The researchers state that tea hydrates the body as effectively as water with the added antioxidant benefits. This is completely contrary to the popular belief that tea is dehydrating due to the caffeine content; a wives’ tale often perpetuated in media reports and even by some health care professionals."

"During the Spring of 2004, the Institute of Medicine issued new hydration guidelines that now advise women to consume 91 ounces of fluid (2.7 liters or approximately eleven 8-ounce cups), and men, 128 ounces (3.7 liters or sixteen 8-ounce cups), and, different from before, all beverages count. The report also stated that available research evidence does not support the argument that caffeine leads to cumulative body water deficits. Approximately 80 percent of an individual’s total water intake comes from drinking water and beverages, including caffeinated beverages, while the other 20 percent comes from food. The report concluded, then, that caffeinated as well as non-caffeinated beverages contribute to total fluid intake."

A native North American variety long valued as food and for its polyphenol antioxidants, which are beneficial to urinary tract health. Eden selected organic, hand harvested cranberries infused with organic apple juice concentrate and slowly dried. They are lightly misted with organic sunflower oil to prevent clumping. Handy re-sealable packaging. No refined sugar or sulfites added. Naturally very low in sodium with no salt added. Deliciously sweet and mildly tangy. Convenient, protective re-sealable pouch.
